The “Grunt” was once a name meant to be an insult but adapted to being a badge of honor by many of our loved brothers and sisters fighting for our country. Now we associate a “Grunt” as a person that has done their job to completion and beyond. Under hard times and difficulties, most people wouldn’t dare to attempt the task, but the “Grunt” overcomes every obstacle.
Our design started with you in mind, from the size of our handle to the blade options. We wanted to make a Knife that felt like a tool, not a letter opener; our CNC T6 6061 aluminum made that possible. Adding the right amount of girth without adding on the weight, CNC etched cross hatching design adding a bite to your hand while still being comfortable. The ergonomics of the handle kept simple, to meet you like a proper firm handshake giving you the control needed to virtually cut through anything without worry and allowing you use the built-in seat belt cutter with confidence.
We used M390 steel with a stonewash finish on our drop point and sheepsfoot blade to help you glide through every cut and not worry about scuffs marks. The drop point’s easability to stab and slash effortlessly using the design for what it’s meant for. The sheepsfoot for chopping and dicing through any obstacle while providing an easy blade to sharpen and maintain, this is the “Grunt” we had in mind.
